Southampton Days and the Parade

Posted on Jul 3 2014 - 12:19am

Thank you to the Murray's for taking charge of the Southampton Days Fair activities this year. It is a lot of work and they are doing a great job. Also, a big thank you to all of the scouts and parents that are helping to make this year's Southampton days a big success. Our biggest day is coming up tomorrow, Friday July 4th. Please assemble at the Wells Fargo bank parking lot at Second Street Pike and Jaymor Road at 8:45 am for the parade. Please park your car in the shopping center lot near Liberty Travel and the Giant and walk down 2nd Street Pike to the bank. We use the parade as a method to recruit new scouts. We hand out membership information to prospective scouts. We also give out chewing gum. Please wear your scout uniform (Class A, no neckerchief). Then, at night, report to the Scout tent at 6:00 pm to sell water. Dress is Class B Orange t-shirt. Parents are strongly encouraged to march with us in the parade and to help us sell bottled water Friday evening.
